(Honolulu, Hawaii, 21 February 2017) In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Gerry’s Restaurant and Bar, formerly Gerry’s Grill, a popular homegrown Filipino restaurant known for its signature dishes such as sizzling sisig, grilled seafood, pork barbecue and crispy pata, opened its third branch in the United States on 18 February 2017 in the Kalihi neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The other two US branches are located in Orange County and Union City, both in California. It will soon open another US branch in Houston, Texas.

At last count, Gerry’s has over 90 branches worldwide, mostly in the Philippines, and 3 in the United States, 2 in Singapore, and 1 in Qatar.

Mr. Gerry Apolinario, founder of Gerry’s Restaurant and Bar, for whom it was named after, Mr. Joe Quibuyen, franchise owners of the Hawaii branch, and Consul Joyleen E. Santos of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, following a blessing of the 150-seater restaurant and its crew by Fr. Danny Laeda, a Filipino parish priest in Honolulu. (END).
