Philippine Consulate General in Hawaii welcomed former AFP Chief of Staff and now Undersecretary Emmanuel Bautista, Office of the President (OP) who is in Hawaii to attend the Pacific Area Special Operations Conference 2017 (PASOC 2017) from 8-11 August 2017.
General Bautista and members of his delegation visited the Philippine Consulate on August 8,2017 and met with Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin.
The Pacific Area Special Operations Conference 2017 (PASOC 2017) is being held in Honolulu, Hawaii from 8-11 Aug 2017. The Theme of PASOC 2017 is "Lessons Learned on Insurgency through the lens of Malaysia, Colombia and Philippines." The objectives are to promote open discourse in an international forum of mitigating challenges to regional security; sharing information and best practices to improve regional security; and build habitual bilateral and multilateral relationships across the region. PASOC 2017 is attended by approximately 150 participants from 30 different countries, from different backgrounds including the Military, Law Enforcement, Academia, and other Governemnt Departments.
