The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted a day-long team building exercises at the Four Seasons Resort at Ko 'Olina, Kapolei, Hawaii on 30 September 2017.

Members of the Consulate engaged in a number of group activities featuring Hawaiian song and dance in the morning. A basic lesson on Hula was given by renowned hula professional Kumu Hula ‘Iwalani Wahinekapu Walsh Tseu. Kumu Iwalani is the Executive Director of Hui ‘Iwa Academy and owner of ‘Iwalani School of Dance in Japan and in South Korea.

In the afternoon, Consulate staff participated in group activities designed to improve team coordination, communication, planning, and execution. Through this team building activity, members of the Consulate are able to enhance teamwork in the work place, build camaraderie, while at the same time, heighten their awareness of the culture of Hawaii.(END)
