The Hawaii House of Representatives convened a special session on January 24, 2018 to honor Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin and Mayor Maria Cristina C. Angeles and the Tarlac City Government Delegation for enhancing relations between the Republic of the Philippines and Hawaii. Mayor Angeles and her delegation were visiting Hawaii from January 21-26,2018 upon the invitation of Rep. John Mizuno.
The House drafted a resolution spearheaded by Representatives John Mizuno and Romy Cachola to recognize the significant contribution of Consul General Gina Jamoralin to the Filipino community in Hawaii and to Hawaii-Philippine relations. During the recognition ceremony, a number of Representatives lauded the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu led by Consul General Jamoralin in playing a pivotal role in strengthening and connecting with the Filipino community and strong partnership with the State of Hawaii including the different counties and islands.
Plaques of appreciation were presented each to Mayor Angeles and Consul General Jamoralin. After the ceremony, a reception was hosted by Rep. Mizuno in honor of the Mayor of Tarlac City and her delegation and for Consul General Jamoralin at the House building. (END).
