Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin was awarded a medal and certificate for the Distinguished Public Service Award (DPSA) by the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. military. The certificate was signed by Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Chairman of the JCS. The DPSA medal was pinned by U.S. Pacific Command chief Admiral Harry B. Harris, Jr., in a simple ceremony at the Head Quarters of PACOM in Camp Smith on 25 January 2018.
The Citation read in part: “For distinguished public service to the Department of Defense as the Consul General of the Philippines in Honolulu, Hawaii, from July 2014 to January 2018. Consul General Jamoralin diligently worked to strengthen solidarity between the United States military leadership stationed in Hawaii and all levels of the Philippine Government.” (END).
