(28 June 2019, Honolulu, Hawaii) – Consul General Joselito Jimeno met with the members of the Executive Committee and Board of the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) on 21 June 2021 at the Philipine Consulate General in Honolulu. Louella Cabalona, President of FYLRPO, is here with her leadership team for a Board Retreat to plan the next trajectory of the organization who will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary in 2022. Louella was joined during the call by Board Directors Lakhi Siap, Jan Paul Ferrer, and Sergio Alcubilla as well as past alumni Kit Zulueta-Furukawa, Elizabeth Obod-Frilles, and Baron Cabalona.

FYLPRO was established in 2012 in cooperation with the Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) to annually identify ten (10) outstanding young professionals in the Filipino communities across the United States and provide them with invaluable community, business, and government exposure in the Philippines with the hopes that they can lead positive change in their communities in the US. For the past seven (9) years, Hawaii has produced nine (9) high-calibre delegates to the FYLPRO which include businesswoman Kit Zulueta-Furukawa (2012), Randy Cortez (2013), County of Kauai Managing Director Mike Dahilig (2014), State Representative Ty Cullen (2015), L&L Hawaiian Barbecue Vice President Brandon dela Cruz (2016), award-winning educator Elizabeth Obod-Frilles (2016), Hawaii Democratic Party Chair Tyler Dos Santos-Tam (2017), US Air Force Lt. Col. Charlynne Mae McGinnis (2018), and Hawai’i Lt. Governor candidate Atty. Sergio Alcubilla (2019).
