22 July 2021, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno received Mr. Greg Auberry, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation during a courtesy call held on 21 July 2021. 

Mr. Auberry updated the Consulate on the work of the Foundation, its challenges during the pandemic, and inquired on how it could be of further assistance in this time of the pandemic.  Consulate officials informed him that immediate needs include vaccination, as well as outreach and education, particularly of children who do not have access to remote learning.

The Consuelo Foundation is a private, Hawaii-based foundation whose mission is “to promote the wellbeing of at-risk children, women and families in the Philippines and Hawaii, and prevent and treat their abuse, neglect, and exploitation.”  It fulfills its mission through innovative and effective strategies and services that engage and empower individuals, families, and communities.  The Foundation was established in 1988 by the late Consuelo Zobel Alger.

 

Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno gives Mr. Greg Auberry tokens of the Philippine Consulate General commemorative coin and Philippine dried mangoes. 

 

Mr. Auberry shares the Consuelo Foundation’s 2020 Annual Report with Philippine Consulate General officials.  Also present during the courtesy call were Deputy Consul General Angelica C. Escalona and Consul Grace Anne G. Bulos.
