PRESS RELEASE NO. 45-2021

23 November 2021, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – As his first official activity, newly-assumed Consul General Emilio T. Fernandez led the officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu during the flag-raising ceremony last 22 November at the Consulate grounds. 

During a staff meeting following the activity, Consul General Fernandez thanked the Consulate personnel for their warm welcome, and expressed confidence in fostering a good working relationship with them. 

Prior to his assignment in Honolulu, Consul General Fernandez was the Deputy Consul General at the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany.   He has served in various capacities at the Philippine Embassies in Washington DC, USA, Santiago, Chile, and Caracas, Venezuela.  In the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, he served in the Office of ASEAN Affairs, the Office of the Undersecretary for International Economic Affairs, the Office of European Affairs, and the Office of Asia and Pacific Affairs.  END.
