5 May 2022, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Consul General Emil Fernandez received officials of the Department of Labor (DOL) Honolulu Area Office Wage and Hour Division (WHD) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on 29 April to strengthen ties and discuss cooperation and support in the implementation of the Consulate and the DOL’s respective mandates.
Consul General Fernandez welcomed Mr. Roger Forstner, OSHA Area Director, Mr. Terence Trotter, WHD District Director and Mr. Herbert Lee, WHD Community Outreach/Resource Planner, saying that the Consulate’s engagement with DOL will prove useful particularly in providing assistance to nationals who may be encountering labor-related issues.
