04 August 2022, Hawaii, USA – Sixty-five members of BRP Luna led by Philippine Navy Captain Charles Merric A. Villanueva held a clean-up activity covering four buildings and adjacent outdoor areas at Waialua High and Intermediate School (WHIS), Northshore, Oahu, Hawai’i. According to Captain Villanueva, the activity is the first community service project of BRP Luna in the island and the Philippine Navy’s way of showing gratitude for the hospitality received from the people of Hawai’i during their visits for the Rim of the Pacific Exercises (RimPac). Joining them were Vice Consul Jomar Sadie of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu and members of the Knights of Rizal-Hawaii Chapter.
