7 September 2022 – Consul General Emil Fernandez greeted incoming U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Commander Lt. Gen. William Jurney (left photo) during the MARFORPAC Change of Command ceremony held at the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe earlier today. During the event, Lt. Gen. Steven Rudder (shown in right photo) relinquished command of U.S. MARFORPAC and Fleet Marine Forces Pacific (FMFPAC), positions he assumed in July 2020. Lt. Gen. Jurney most recently served as the commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. (END)
