PHOTO RELEASE NO. 32-2022

13 October 2022 – Consul General Emil Fernandez graced the opening program of Pagkakaisa, an exhibit featuring original artworks, photographs, and political cartoons depicting the social and political life of Filipino migrants in Hawaii since the 1970s. The exhibit is a “a look back at the achievements of the Filipino community in Hawaii in terms of identity, civil rights and human rights in the past 50 years.”

The exhibit is organized by the Filipino Association of University Women (FAUW), the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawaii (UPAAH), and the Filipino-American Historical Society of Hawaii. It runs from 01 to 31 October 2022 at the lobby of the Hawaii State Library.
