Hawaii, Honolulu, USA, 18 October 2022 – Consul Grace Bulos and Vice Consul Leizel Caasi joined a fellowship activity organized by the Hawaii Seafarers Ministry at Honolulu Harbor’s Pier 17 for foreign fishermen employed by Hawaii’s longline fishing industry.
The fellowship activity is held weekly by the Hawaii Seafarers Ministry, a volunteer-run organization, led by Pastor Jerry Saludez of the Waipio Baptist Church. The activity aims to develop camaraderie among the fishermen through songs, games, and Bible study. Aside from the weekly fellowship, the Seafarers Ministry also conducts regular medical outreach and donation drives.
During the fellowship, Consul Bulos reiterated the Philippine Consulate General’s commitment in providing support for Filipino fishermen based in Hawaii. (END)
